For the past few months, NBA fans have been speculating where All-Star winger Paul George will end up, as he reportedly received a lower offer than Los Angeles Clippers star Kawhi Leonard. Among the rumored teams for the former Indiana Pacers winger is the Golden State Warriors, prompting Patrick Beverley of the Milwaukee Bucks to react to this possible development.
George played high school basketball at Knight High School before attending Fresno State for two seasons. The Indiana Pacers finished 10th overall 2010 NBA Draft and earned All-Rookie Second Team honors. He had a breakout season in 2013, winning the Most Improved Player award and making his first All-Star team.
In 2014, the striker suffered a gruesome leg injury while competing for Team USA, causing him to miss most of the 2014-15 season. He recovered and became an All-Star again in 2016, the same year he won an Olympic gold medal. In 2017, he was traded to the Oklahoma City Thunder and spent two seasons there before joining the Clippers in 2019.
Throughout his career, George established himself as one of the best two-way players in the league, known for his scoring ability and defensive versatility. He continues to play a key role as the Clippers try to fight for the NBA championship.
Milwaukee Bucks star Patrick Beverley responds to rumors of Paul George joining the Golden State Warriors
After rumors swirling around the Philadelphia 76ers for some time, George is now being linked to the Warriors ahead of the 2024-25 season. Among those who have expressed their views on the matter is Milwaukee Bucks veteran Patrick Beverley in a post he shared on X.
“Boi, if PG goes to “The Warriors”, it will be very difficult @PatBevPod” Beverley wrote on Twitter.
Within Last season 74 matchesGeorge averaged 22.6 points on 41% shooting from distance, 5.2 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.5 steals per contest. The opportunity to work with All-Star guard Stephen Curry will lift the Dubs back into contention if a trade becomes a reality.
Time will tell if George heads to The Bay, gets traded to another team, or stays in Los Angeles. Nevertheless, Beverley will be watching closely to see where the All-Star wing ends up.
