Felepit (NBC 26) -Peter Tomazevic is a four-time state qualifier and recurring winner of the second place, but Senior Freedom does not focus on winnings and losses. Instead, he accepts a journey last season with the Irishman.
“I try to live like that every day,” said Tomazevic. “Grateful for everything. In the last two or three years, my parents have said that I am almost beyond recognition – just very happy and grateful for everything. “
Tomazevic has 54-1 this season, and his only loss appeared against the wrestler 12 in the country. His positive perspectives distinguish him.
“Very happy and simply grateful for everything,” said Tomazevic. “I remember when the situation becomes difficult, that other people do not have these opportunities.”
Freedom Brad Baker coach agreed that Tomazevic’s way of thinking led to the success of the mat.
“When you focus on the right things, just like him, you don’t need any motivation,” said Baker. “You are simply excited about the possibility of competing.”
Tomazevic was satisfied with his performance last year and hopes for this success when he chases his first state title.
“I’ll just try to be myself and it’s really all I can do – just be the best version of myself,” said Tomazevic.
“You catch yourself by becoming a fan and a viewer when you are in his corner, because you really have little to tell him,” said Baker. “He knows what he is doing.”
Baker will still be a fan of trips to Madison, because Tomazevic is involved in the struggle for badgers.
“I have watched badgers all my life, grew up around the badger, and being close to the house while wearing this” W “on my chest is something for which I will always be grateful,” said Tomazevic. “So I’m very excited.”
Although his name will be permanently shown in the Freedom wrestling room, he hopes that he will leave heritage, which goes beyond his victory.
“I want to be known as a child who is always happy, he always has a good time and just very grateful,” said Tomazevic. “It’s a word that I always come back to – just grateful for everything. I want it to be my heritage. “
Regardless of what is happening this weekend in the individual Wiaa State wrestling tournament, Tomazevic is proud of his wrestling career in high school and is excited about the next chapter in Madison.
