Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon Vegetable oil
  • 1 Roasted pork shoulder
  • 1 cup Barbecue sauce
  • 1/2 cup Apple vinegar
  • 1/2 cup Chicken broth
  • 1/4 cup Brown sugar
  • 1 table spoon Prepared yellow mustard
  • 1 spoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 spoon Chilli powder
  • 1 whole chopped onion
  • 2 cloves Crushed garlic
  • 1 1/4 teaspoon Dried thyme
  • 8 Buns

Instructions

  • Pour vegetable oil into the bottom of the ponderous cooker. Place the pork roast in the ponderous cooker. Pour in the barbecue sauce, apple cider vinegar, and chicken stock.

  • In separate compact bowls, combine brown sugar, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, chili powder, onion, garlic, and thyme. Pour over roast. Cover and simmer for 8 hours.

  • Remove the roast from the ponderous cooker and shred with forks. Return the meat to the ponderous cooker and leave in the juices until ready to serve.
