BBQ pork in the ponderous cooker
Ingredients
- 1 teaspoon Vegetable oil
- 1 Roasted pork shoulder
- 1 cup Barbecue sauce
- 1/2 cup Apple vinegar
- 1/2 cup Chicken broth
- 1/4 cup Brown sugar
- 1 table spoon Prepared yellow mustard
- 1 spoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 spoon Chilli powder
- 1 whole chopped onion
- 2 cloves Crushed garlic
- 1 1/4 teaspoon Dried thyme
- 8 Buns
Instructions

Pour vegetable oil into the bottom of the ponderous cooker. Place the pork roast in the ponderous cooker. Pour in the barbecue sauce, apple cider vinegar, and chicken stock.

In separate compact bowls, combine brown sugar, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, chili powder, onion, garlic, and thyme. Pour over roast. Cover and simmer for 8 hours.

Remove the roast from the ponderous cooker and shred with forks. Return the meat to the ponderous cooker and leave in the juices until ready to serve.
