Madison, Wis.-Department of Natural Resources Wisconsin (DNR) invites the audience to join the DNR staff on Monday, March 3, practically or in person at DNR Green Bay Service Center in Green Bay, Wis., At the eighth meeting in a nine-part series focused on fishing management in north-east.
This meeting is part of the Spotlight series, which emphasizes various fishing in the north-eastern part of Wisconsin and will provide a brief overview of the history and management of Walleye and Muskellunge, and then a more deep summary of modern projects introduced in 2024 to manage both species. The projects that will be discussed include the WALLEYE award tag survey, in which over 4,500 Walley was marked in the Green Bay system in the spring of 2024, along with modern sampling and tagging initiatives of Pits for Muskellunge.
