Learn about the history of Racine County at the Racine Heritage Museum. Racine’s first drum and bugle corps, organized in 1921, created the model that all drum and bugle corps operate today. In recognition of his significant contributions, the United States Congress proclaimed Racine the Drum and Trumpet Corps Capital of the World in 1967. This exhibit explores various periods of the drum corps’ history and features musical instruments, photographs, and uniforms used by the various Racine Drum Group bands of the corps.
