From the outside, this home in New Berlin, Wisconsin, looks decidedly unremarkable. If you’ve spent any time reading Digg’s real estate posts, though, you know we’d never bother showing you anything ordinary.
Yep, there’s something pretty unexpected tucked away in this house, but we’re going to save the best for last. For now, have a snoop around the rest of the property — which is, in fairness, also quite spectacular.
The placement of the plant pot in this bedroom is far too precarious for my liking. Just saying.
Alright, you’ve been patient, and now it’s time for the massive reveal. Just follow the spiral staircase down to the basement, where you’ll find a ticket booth and a red-hued lounge.
As you can see, the entire basement has been converted into a rather impressive private theater and entertainment space, complete with a bar and two dens. According to the listing, the home was “owned and lovingly cared for by an esteemed theater-enthusiast” — but that probably goes without saying.
If, like the first owner of 3240 South Hickory Road, you’ve dreamed of running a theater and bar out of your own home, this is probably the place for you.
