Wisconsin’s passion for wild turkeys and turkey hunting blossomed in overdue July in one of the most stunning turkey habitats in the state.
The Wisconsin Chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation celebrated the return of wild turkeys to Wisconsin along with the 50th anniversary of the National Wild Turkey Federation (NWTF) on July 27 at Cabela’s and the Barn. The guest speaker was one of the wild turkey’s most ardent advocates, Rob Keck, former executive vice president of the NWTF, who currently serves as a hunting and conservation ambassador for Bass Pro Shops.
