Matt LaFleur mentioned during minicamp that he really likes the depth at cornerback. This of course includes Eric Stokes and Carrington Valentine competing for playing time, but I also believe Corey Ballentine played into this mindset. Ballentine may not be in full form at the moment, but in my opinion it’s very close. He brings special teams experience to the position and has practiced frequently as a cornerback during offseason workouts, which has given the Packers additional depth in that role behind Keisean Nixon that they otherwise wouldn’t have at the cornerback position. Ballentine delivered when he was called up last season and I believe he will put in a forceful performance this summer against the other team’s offense.
