Sectionals Jordan Love Practices Again, Carrington Valentine Returns, Jordan Morgan Still Out

Three critical injury updates to know from the Green Bay Packers’ first practice of Week 4: quarterback Jordan Love practiced again, cornerback Carrington Valentine returned from injury and rookie offensive lineman Jordan Morgan remains sidelined. according to Mike Spofford from the band’s official website.

The Packers will release their first injury report of the week on Wednesday and will host the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday.

Love practiced on a constrained basis last week, all three days, but was inactive. While another week of constrained practice seems likely, it also looks increasingly likely that this will be the week he returns from a sprained medial collateral ligament in his left knee. Malik Willis has started each of the last two games, leading the Packers to two straight wins. Love injured his knee on Sept. 6, nearly three weeks ago.

Valentine, who passed Eric Stokes at cornerback in Week 2, missed last week’s win at Tennessee with an ankle injury. He returned to the practice field Wednesday, suggesting a minor injury and a realistic chance of playing Sunday against the Vikings. Valentine and Stokes have been rotating at cornerback on the perimeter opposite Jaire Alexander. Stokes threw a touchdown pass to DeAndre Hopkins last week but played well overall in 53 snaps.

Speaking of rotations, expect Sean Rhyan to once again be a one-man show at right guard on Sunday. Morgan, the team’s first-round pick, was the only player who didn’t participate in Wednesday’s practice. He has a shoulder injury. The Packers haven’t placed Morgan on the injured reserve list, but it’s looking increasingly likely he’ll miss multiple games. Before his injury, Morgan and Rhyan were close to splitting reps at right guard 50/50.

Finally, tight end Tucker Kraft wore a red “no contact” uniform during Wednesday’s practice. He wore the same one last week while recovering from a shoulder injury. Kraft briefly missed Sunday’s win over the Titans with another shoulder injury, so the Packers will try to limit his contact throughout the week.

Coach Matt LaFleur will be interviewed by the media after Wednesday’s practice.
