Sections Award-winning free agent additions represent the Packers’ best chance for Pro Bowlers

WITH Fan voting is now openrunning back Josh Jacobs and linebacker Xavier McKinney represent the members of the Green Bay Packers most likely to be selected to the Pro Bowl during the 2024 season.

Jacobs has 987 rushing yards in 12 games, trailing only Saquon Barkley and Derrick Henry among NFL players in rushing yards. McKinney currently leads the NFL with seven interceptions. The two prized free agents have been key players for the Packers, who are now 9-3 and approaching the playoffs with five games remaining. Both should be close to making the Pro Bowl, and McKinney has a great opportunity to be a first-team All-Pro.

Who else on the Packers’ roster could have a chance at this year’s Pro Bowl?

Tight end Tucker Kraft ranks second at his position in catches for touchdowns with six and first in missed tackles forced with 13. Behind George Kittle, the NFC lacks another dominant tight end option, which likely opens the door for Kraft if he is he could score touchdowns down stretch.

Right tackle Zach Tom should be a professional bowler. Tom ranks sixth overall among all offensive tackles in PFF, including the fourth-best mark in run blocking. He has become a dominant player at the top position, but he may lack the big-name status that is often required to become a Pro Bowler, especially in a conference that features so many high-quality and well-known offensive tackles.

It’s difficult to imagine another player combining efficiency, production and name recognition to make the Pro Bowl, although it’s possible he’ll be passed by a gigantic name like Jordan Love or Rashan Gary or even Keisean Nixon by the end of the season, which is could be done by a returning It. Love was injured and missed three games, Gary started the season slowly and Nixon’s impact as a returner was circumscribed. Jaire Alexander may have had a chance after a good start, but he has missed a lot of time this season due to injury. Jayden Reed should total over 1,000 yards and double-digit touchdowns, but the receiving pool is so gigantic for top-tier producers. Daniel Whelan is having a solid season, but who outside of Green Bay knows he’s a Packers player?

Last year, the Packers didn’t have a Pro Bowler on their starting lineup. Kenny Clark appeared behind schedule as a substitute.

The 2025 Pro Bowl will be held in Orlando, Florida beginning on January 30, 2025. The NFC-AFC Flag Football Championship will begin on Sunday, February 3 at 3:00 p.m. ET.
