The Green Bay Packers ruled out defensive lineman Devonte Wyatt, placed tight end Luke Musgrave on injured reserve and listed cornerback Jaire Alexander, offensive tackle Rasheed Walker, receiver Christian Watson, offensive lineman Jordan Morgan, linebacker Arron Mosby as questionable on the final injury report ahead of the Week 6 game against the Arizona Cardinals.
How will the injury affect Sunday’s clash?
Here’s a detailed breakdown of the Packers’ final injury report heading into Week 6:
Output (1)
DL Devonte Wyatt (ankle): The Packers’ best passer and passer will miss a second straight game. Like last week, Wyatt didn’t practice on any of the three days. He’s out of walking shoes, but he needs at least another week before he’s ready to go back. Expect to see more of Karl Brooks and Colby Wood on the interior on Sunday alongside Kenny Clark and TJ Slaton.
Doubtful (5)
CB Jaire Alexander (muzzle): The decision will likely be made in game time after missing two straight games. He has practiced on a constrained basis all three days this week, but the Packers want to make sure his groin injury heals before putting him back on the field. If Alexander plays, he’ll face top rookie Marvin Harrison Jr. is possible. Eric Stokes, Carrington Valentine and Keisean Nixon have all taken corner kicks at the side of the pitch recently when Alexander hasn’t played.
LT Rasheed Walker (knee): A delayed addition to Friday’s injury report that may involve timing. His performances were constrained by a modern knee injury. Veteran Andre Dillard is probably the best backup on the left wing. Walker has played in every attack on the Packers’ left wing this season.
WR Christian Watson (ankle): Three constrained practices this week give Watson a reasonable chance to return after missing just one game. Even with constrained options, Watson can provide a valuable vertical threat and block attacks. Getting Watson and Romeo Doubs back after being shorthanded last week would provide a boost.
OL Jordan Morgan (shoulder): The Packers’ first-round pick has missed two straight games with a shoulder injury, but Sunday could mark his return. Adam Stenavich said the Packers want Morgan to resume the rotation at right guard when he returns.
DE Arron Mosby (shoulder): He has been training at full speed all week, so it is expected that he will play. Although Mosby was buried on the edge rusher depth chart, he participated in snaps for special teams.
Injured reserve (1)
TE Luke Musgrave (ankle): The Packers placed Musgrave on injured reserve on Friday. He tried to play after suffering an ankle injury, but the team ruled him out. He will miss at least the next four games and won’t return until Week 11 at the earliest. The Packers signed John FitzPatrick to take Musgrave’s roster spot.
No status indication
The following players do not have a status designation and will be available to play Sunday against the Cardinals: S Zayne Anderson, DL Kenny Clark, LB Edgerrin Cooper, OL Elgton Jenkins, TE Tucker Kraft, OL Zach Tom, CB Carrington Valentine. DL Jonathan Ford has no status but remains designated to return from injured reserve.
Cardinals injury report
The Cardinals have ruled out receiver Zay Jones, who is undergoing a suspension, and first-round pick Darius Robinson, who suffered a calf injury. Kicker Matt Prater, cornerback Garrett Williams, offensive lineman Christian Jones and offensive lineman Kelvin Beachum are questionable for the game. Starting right back Will Hernandez went on injured reserve this week.
