On Monday, the Green Bay Packers released the team’s first injury report from Week 13. The team will release two more injury reports, including a final injury report on Wednesday with official game status designations ahead of Thursday’s Thanksgiving clash with the Miami Dolphins.
Here’s everything you need to know from the Packers’ first Week 13 injury report:
Who didn’t participate?
First, the Packers did not practice on Monday, and all participation reports are estimates. However, the team estimated that linebacker Jaire Alexander (knee), linebacker Edgerrin Cooper (hamstring), receiver Romeo Doubs (concussion), linebacker John FitzPatrick (back) and linebacker Isaiah McDuffie (ankle) would not practice. Veterans Kenny Clark, Josh Jacobs and Elgton Jenkins were listed as “rested” on Monday.
Any modern injuries worth knowing about?
Yes. McDuffie, a starter after 11 games at linebacker, suffered a modern ankle injury, putting a significant strain on the linebacker’s play while Edgerrin Cooper is still sidelined. Receiver Romeo Doubs suffered a concussion against the San Francisco 49ers and will have to go through league protocol to return to the field. Tight end John FitzPatrick has a modern back injury. Center Josh Myers has a modern pectoral injury, although he is expected to be able to practice on Monday.
Who are the injured players to watch this week?
Alexander and Cooper missed last week’s win over the 49ers – Alexander due to the aggravation of a pre-existing knee injury and Cooper due to a hamstring injury suffered last Wednesday during practice – so both may struggle to perform on Thursday night. The same goes for Doubs, who should be considered a chance to get through the concussion protocol in time. McDuffie’s injury is a bit of an unknown. It is possible that the Packers will play without all four players on Thursday evening.
Who is no longer on the injury report?
The Packers have removed safety Evan Williams and defensive lineman Colby Wooden from the injury report. Both played on Sunday after previous injuries and are fully “recovered” by week 13.
What to know from the Dolphins injury report?
The Dolphins’ injury report lists 15 players, with only two listed as “rested” on Monday. Like the Packers, the Dolphins did not practice on Mondays, and practice participation reports are estimates only. Still, the Dolphins estimated that left guard Terron Armstead (knee), cornerback Kendall Fuller (concussion) and cornerbacks Tyus Bowser (knee/calf) and Anthony Walker Jr. (hamstring) they wouldn’t exercise. Receiver Tyreek Hill (wrist), linebacker Alex Ingold (calf) and cornerback Jalen Ramsey (knee) were among those restricted.
