On Wednesday, the Green Bay Packers released the team’s first injury report for Week 18. The team will release two more injury reports, including a final injury report on Friday with official playing status designations before they play the Chicago Bears in Sunday’s season finale.
Here’s everything you need to know from the Packers’ first Week 18 injury report:
Who didn’t participate?
The Packers played without seven players on Wednesday, and the remaining two players had to be rested. However, the team did not officially practice and only rehearsed on Wednesday, so participation reports are estimates. Cornerback Jaire Alexander (knee), receiver Christian Watson (knee), linebacker Quay Walker (ankle), safety Evan Williams (quad), linebacker Brenton Cox Jr. (foot), safety Zayne Anderson (concussion) and offensive tackle Andre Dillard (concussion) did not practice, and both left tackle Elgton Jenkins and tight end Tucker Kraft were rested.
Any fresh injuries?
Anderson (concussion) and Cox (foot) did not practice due to fresh injuries. Running back Josh Jacobs (wrist, restricted), running back Chris Brooks (ankle, restricted) and defensive lineman Devonte Wyatt (concussion, full) also have fresh injuries after Sunday’s loss to the Vikings.
Jaire Alexander Update
Alexander did not practice on Wednesday. Coach Matt LaFleur revealed that Alexander underwent surgery and will likely miss the rest of the season. He will miss his 10th game of the season on Sunday.
What to know from the Bears injury report?
Five players did not practice Wednesday for the Bears: receiver Rome Odunze (illness), offensive lineman Teven Jenkins (calf), offensive lineman Larry Borom (illness), linebacker Elijah Hicks (ankle/foot) and running back/returner Travis Homer (hamstring). .
