Sections Xavier McKinney and Rashan Gary escalate base salaries for 2025 with 2024 Pro Bowl selections

Green Bay Packers guard Xavier McKinney and forward Rashan Gary will earn more in base salaries next season after being named to the Pro Bowl first team in 2024.

Both veterans had $250,000 escalators in their contracts with the Packers.

According to Joel Corry of CBS Sports, McKinney’s base salary will escalate from approximately $2.75-3 million in 2025, while Gary’s base salary will escalate from $6.8-7.05 million next season. The impact of the escalator will be felt on the 2025 ceiling.

Running back Josh Jacobs, the Packers’ second career starter, does not include an escalator in his contract signed in March. Who else has a Pro Bowl escalator? Quarterback Jordan Love, offensive lineman Elgton Jenkins, cornerback Jaire Alexander and cornerback Keisean Nixon are all Pro Bowl alternates. Escalators can only be obtained when added to your starting lineup.

McKinney, selected in the 2020 draft by the New York Giants, and Gary, the 12th overall pick in the 2019 draft, are both making their first Pro Bowl.

Both players will also earn money for playing in the Pro Bowl. Last year, players on the winning team – Pro Bowlers playing in a flag football game – received $84,000, and the losing teams received $44,000.
