Folklore Village is pleased to announce a special evening of transatlantic folk music involving Skye Consort and Emma Björling on January 30 at 19:00 (door open at 18:30). Skye Consort and Emma Björling combine centuries -old melodies from Scandinavia, Ireland, the British Isles and French Canada, weaving them into up-to-date arrangements that show the timeless beauty of these traditions. The audience will be treated with a rotating Poland, groovy roles and mixing hymns, again imagined with a fresh, animated style that opposes the genres and captivates the listeners of all musical tastes. The history of the group began unexpectedly in Montréal in 2017 and gave the musicians additional time to share the melody, exchange ideas and discover their deep synergy. The result is a team of extraordinary talent, with the participation of violinists, nyckelharpy, cello, bouzouki, banjo, percussion and spellbinding vocal, all professionally mixed to provide the evening from world chamber artistry.
