You and your crew can also join the river clean-up. Honest, it is more fun than it sounds! Past celebrations have also included performances by the St. Croix Chippewa Indians of Wisconsin, family movie night and many unique vendors. Visit in July with your crew to be part of the positive impact made at St. Croix Riverfest.

Music on the Overlook (MOTO) Series

Unwind on summer evenings with loved ones at the Music on the Overlook (MOTO) Series. From June to August, the Riverview Stage at Overlook Park in St. Croix Falls offers lively performances set against a breathtaking view. With genres from blues to jazz, MOTO caters to many music tastes. Special nights like Kids Night ensure even the little ones can also groove to their favorite tunes.

The fun starts before the concert with pre-event parties at Trap Rock Brewing Company where you can sample local brews and continues after the music stops at Dalles House Restaurant and Lounge. Whether you’re staying in the city or just passing through, this summer event will add extra magic to your St. Croix Falls getaway.

Wannigan Days

Have you ever heard about the tales of brave loggers floating logs down the river from covered wooden rafts? Those rafts were called “wannigans” and often used as cook shanties or bunkhouses many years ago.

Every July, St. Croix Falls and its sister city, Taylors Falls in Minnesota, come alive with the Wannigan Days festival to celebrate these stories and the St. Croix river that ties them together.

Kids dance to lively music on the streets and families cheer as colorful parades march by in both cities. Later, everyone’s eyes lithe up watching dazzling fireworks in the night sky from a cozy spot near the river.

That’s Wannigan Days every July—three days full of summer fun for locals and travelers alike.

Fun Fest

Only 30 minutes away from St. Croix Falls, in New Richmond, Fun Fest is a classic Wisconsin summer festival that includes four whole days of activities. Indulge in tasty food truck fare, enjoy lively music and marvel at classic cars. Kids can enjoy a petting zoo, jumping around in inflatables and even playing laser tag!

Don’t miss the Fun Fest Parade and the spectacular fireworks show. Share the sun-soaked fun with friends and family for an unforgettable summer experience each July.

Polk County Fair

The Polk County Fairgrounds hosts a grand celebration each July that draws almost 40,000 visitors. Enjoy animal showcases, carnival rides, live music and the roar of tractor pulls and demolition derbies. Engage in art exhibits, watch maple syrup judging and cheer on friends in the pie-eating contest. The Polk County Fair is a time-honored event where memories are made, traditions are honored and the spirit of St. Croix Falls shines brightly.
