The 2024 Wisconsin gun deer season opens on Saturday, but it’s Thursday, November 21, when we send the issue of Wisconsin Outdoor News to the printer.
It snowed in Oneida and Vilas counties this morning, but by 9:30 a.m. the snow had turned to rain, so based on the local county forecast, there will be no snow on the ground on opening day – snow that would brighten the background and augment our chances of seeing deer on opening weekend and beyond.
State Summary: Tough hunting for northern hunters, but we’re ready to see what the 2024 Wisconsin gun deer season brings.
