Wisconsin athletes will see a DNR budget audit regardless. Senator Rob Stafsholt (R-New Richmond) succeeded in seeking such action on Thursday, August 29, when the Joint Legislative Audit Committee directed the nonpartisan Legislative Audit Office to conduct a comprehensive audit of the DNR’s fish and wildlife account.
“This audit is a huge step towards determining where the money from athlete licenses goes,” Stafsholt said in a press release.
