Enjoy the music of myth, magic and wonder! Grammy Award-winning band Third Coast Percussion takes the stage for Toru Takemitsu’s visually captivating From Me Flows What You Call Time, which features unusual bells suspended from the ceiling and played with long, colorful ribbons. Debussy’s Nocturnes evoke the misty movements of clouds, the danceable rhythms of festivals, and the mysterious songs of Sirens through three sound poems. This enchanting concert is complemented by Dukas’s music, beginning with a brass choir fanfare from his ballet with a mischievous mythological spirit and ending with the charming and homely romp of The Sorcerer’s Apprentice.
