Taking control of goat fever

As most hunters know, when a deer appears, especially if it’s a large deer, we get a rush of adrenaline that can make us do stupid things, especially if we don’t have a practiced shooting routine. Call it what you will – buck fever or target panic – it happens to all of us, just to varying degrees.
Goat fever is that nervousness we all feel when we face an essential shot. We feel butterflies in our stomachs, our hands may shake, our mouths become arid, and it is hard to hold the bow or weapon steady. If you think it can’t happen to you, you are wrong.
