What’s fall like in Wisconsin?
We’d say our favorite time to visit Wisconsin is fall. Seriously, fall weather in Wisconsin is the BEST. Temperatures begin to drop in September and typically continue to drop until November, when someone usually hits the gas pedal and freezing temperatures begin to appear. We will go from highs in the upper 70s in September to the 50s in November. By the end of August, most of the tourist crowds will have disappeared, and once the leaves have changed, we recommend visiting one of Wisconsin’s many amazing state parks for an amazing leaf-peeping adventure.
What are some fun things to do in Wisconsin in the fall?
This petite Midwestern state is fun to visit or live in all year round, but fall brings us to our favorite things to do in Wisconsin. There are countless fall festivals in Wisconsin, and you don’t want to miss any of the best pumpkin patches in Wisconsin. Enjoy Wisconsin’s amazing, colorful fall hiking trail, and maybe camp at one of Wisconsin’s best campgrounds, which should be full of color from October through November. It’s the perfect time of year to get out and enjoy the great outdoors before it gets too frigid, so what are you waiting for? Get outside and enjoy stunning Wisconsin until everything freezes over!
Where can I go for great fall getaways in Wisconsin?
If you’re like us, sometimes a scenic drive is the perfect way to escape, whether we’re flying solo or bringing along a special someone. Alternatively, you can rent a cabin in Wisconsin nestled in the foliage (incredibly relaxing), or maybe curl up around a fire with your significant other at one of Wisconsin’s best campgrounds. Seriously, as if our campsites weren’t magical enough, they become even more magical in the fall – Wisconsin is one of the best states for viewing fall foliage, hands down!
