Without a doubt, former Milwaukee Bucks guard Jrue Holiday has been a boon for the Boston Celtics during this year’s playoffs. And similar to what NBA analyst Kendrick Perkins said about him, All-Star winger Jaylen Brown believes the veteran’s experience with the team has been excellent so far.
Holiday’s career began in 2009, when he was drafted 17th overall by the Philadelphia 76ers. Over the course of 11 years, the guard established himself as a formidable two-way player, showcasing his skills with both the Sixers and New Orleans Pelicans. Throughout his career, he maintained impressive averages of 15.9 points, 3.9 rebounds, 6.4 assists and 1.5 steals per game. However, in 2013, he was traded to the Pelicans in a deal that included Nerlens Noel and a 2014 first-round draft pick.
In 2020, Holiday found himself on the move again, this time landing with the Milwaukee Bucks in multi-team trading. His arrival proved to be the missing piece of the puzzle for the Bucks as he played a key role in helping All-Star forward Giannis Antetokounmpo secure their first NBA championship.
Currently, Holiday is making his mark on the Boston Celtics in the playoffs, showcasing his skills as a game-changer. During the NBA Finals, he proved to be a key part of Beantown’s success, playing a key role in the team’s victories in the first two games of the series.
Boston Celtics star Jaylen Brown expresses great appreciation for former Milwaukee Bucks guard Jrue Holiday
The two games leading up to the NBA Finals and the holidays proved to be a key part of Boston’s winning streak. In a video shared by Daniel Donabedian in XBrown echoes that claim, praising the former Bucks guard.

Throughout this year’s playoffsHoliday averaged 13.5 points, 6.1 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 1.3 steals per game. He also shoots 51 percent from the field, 40 percent from deep and 95 percent from the free throw line.
If Holiday keeps this up, Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum could soon get their first ring together. Considering the way the former Bucks guard plays, it’s no surprise his stellar performance in the Finals.
