Founded twenty years ago in Chicago, the Henhouse Prowlers have evolved from a bluegrass quartet into a global force combining performance, diplomacy and education. Known for their electrifying live performances and introspective albums – such as 2023’s *Lead and Iron* – the band explores personal experiences through complicated instrumentation and a unique bluegrass backing. Working with the U.S. Department of State and their own nonprofit organization, Bluegrass Ambassadors, they have toured over 25 countries, using American roots music to connect cultures through concerts, workshops and educational programs. Whether performing on stage or teaching abroad, the Prowlers unite people through the universal language of music.
