I have many fond memories of 4-H. From second grade until high school, I was a member of the Russell Corner Badgers 4-H Club.
My favorite 4-H activity was attending the county fair. Throughout the year I worked on various projects and presented them to my club. I featured beef cattle, pigs, photography, sewing projects, plants, cultural art projects, and even a rocket!
The design possibilities are endless and it was great fun to gain hands-on experience with them. Some of my other favorite 4-H memories include mentoring younger kids, making a historic trip to the East Coast, and attending leadership conferences.
I promise: 4-H has something for both kids and parents! Whether it’s participating in community service, attending a leadership camp, learning agriculture, or starting a hands-on project, there’s a place for everyone!
