The Milwaukee Brewers are willing to part ways with Devin Williams. The Brewers pitcher didn’t have a productive 2024 season, but his overall stats look great. Pat Murphy and his team are looking to strengthen their bullpen. With Williams on the trade block, they have a great chance to get what they want.
Milwaukee needs hitters, and the Los Angeles Dodgers could make great exploit of a pitcher like Williams. The 30-year-old has a respectable record of 27-10 with a forceful ERA of 1.83. Williams has 375 strikeouts and a WHIP of 1.02.
Tim Kelly of Bleacher Report stated that the Dodgers will need someone to replace him. With Devin Williams in mind, both teams could benefit from this trade.
“They will have to either re-sign Teoscar Hernández or find someone else to fill that void on the pitch. And if (Devin) Williams and/or (Ryan) Helsley are traded, the Dodgers would make sense as a landing spot for one of the closing stars,” Kelly said.
The Dodgers have Brusdar Graterol on the injured list and have not made a qualifying offer for Walker Buehler. The Brewers could receive a star pitcher from the Dodgers in exchange for Williams. The Dodgers have a forceful farm system, something the Brewers lack.
Brew-Crew depends heavily on homegrown players. Sending Williams to Los Angeles could give them a powerful weapon in return.

As his market value has increased, they could easily push through with a three-year deal. Several teams need pitchers. Besides the Dodgers, compact teams need pitchers like Williams.
This is the right time for the Milwaukee Brewers to let Williams go because they could get the best out of this deal. As for the Dodgers, they could settle for a decent trade deal. Although these are only proposals, both teams have not yet made a decision on trade talks. However, it is possible that they will reconcile.
For now, Williams is Milwaukee’s top trade target, and several teams are expected to be willing to sign the star.
