Whether it’s discovering elite JUCO prospects like Aaron Ashby, Antoine Kelly, Carlos Rodriguez and Jacob Misiorowski, striking gold with mid-round draft picks like Brandon Woodruff (11th round) and Craig Yoho (8th round) . inning), or signing international free agents such as Abner Uribe, consistently have good pitchers in their organization.
They recently got inventive with their signings as they reportedly added a player from Quebec. Before playing professionally in Quebec, the player played for Queensborough Community College, Florida Atlantic University (NCAA – Division 1) and Wilmington University (NCAA – Division 2). He went undrafted in 2022 and has been in Quebec ever since.
Ryan Sandberg has reportedly signed a contract with the Milwaukee Brewers
Right-handed pitcher, according to the Capitales de Quebec social media page Ryan Sandberg signed with the Brewers. The team hasn’t announced the move yet, but it’s coming off a great season as a professional baseball team in Quebec. If this report turns out to be true, it would be odd that it would be a minor league deal.

Brewers Double-A Media Relations and broadcaster Javik Blake did some digging on the matter Sandberg. He found video of him on the mound, where his fastball typically reached speeds of 94 to 96 mph, with his top speed being 97 mph. Statistically, his ERA last year was 2.18 over 103.1 innings, including 107 strikeouts and just 20 walks.

It’s strenuous to say whether anything will come of signing with the Brewers, but the team clearly likes what they see from Sandberg’s play and believes he deserves a shot in affiliated baseball.
