Milwaukee Brewers pitchers and catchers will report on February 13 this year, with the first full squad workout taking place a few days later on February 18. The organization made several minor league deals this winter that include invitations to gigantic league camp. Now they have announced the names of the top four candidates who will also be involved.
Four of the Milwaukee Brewers’ top prospects have received invitations to gigantic league camp
Joining the Brewers MLB team in spring training this year as non-roster invitees will be pitchers Jacob Misiorowski AND Craig Yoho as well as reliever Cooper Pratt and outfielder Luis Lara. The year 2025 will be Misiorowski’s second appearance at a major league camp during spring training. Misiorowski and Yoho could take on MLB roles next year, while Pratt and Lara are a few years away.
Jacob Misiorowski and Craig Yoho
Last year, both Jacob Misiorowski and Craig Yoho were promoted to Triple-A. Misiorowski, who had been a starter most of the season, committed to reliever duties there because Milwaukee wanted him to gain experience in that role while also managing the workload. Yoho is purely a reliever, but he was one of the best in all the minor leagues last year as his Airbending change surprised everyone. Yes, an airbend change isn’t an exaggeration, as last year’s vertical moment average was 47 inches, while Devin Williams’ change averaged 42 inches.
Cooper Pratt and Luis Lara
Twenty-year-old prospects Cooper Pratt and Luis Lara will be the youngest players in gigantic league camp, along with Jackson Chourio. Pratt established himself as a gold glove shortstop last year, while slashing .277/.362/.406 with 27 stolen bases. 2024 was a bit of a down year for Lara as his offensive output dropped off compared to his breakout 2023 season, but there’s still plenty to be excited about in this contact-oriented substitution game.
