Getsy, 40 years senior, was originally employed by Mike McCarthy as an assistant to offensive quality control in 2014. He became a wide-receivers coach and remained in this position for two years (2016-17) before he went to the offensive Mississippi coordinator for one season. He returned to Green Bay as a coach of playmakers in the first coaching staff of Lafleur in 2019 and was promoted to the coordinator of the game in 2020. He was Lafleur employees for four seasons in 2019–2022.

Silverstein reports that it is possible that Getsy may assign another title if Packers lose the offensive coordinator Adam Stenavich or the coordinator of the game Jason Vrablele to other teams.

Getsy was the offensive Chicago Bears coordinator in 2022–2023. He survived only nine matches in the 2024 season as the offensive Raiders coordinator.

Packers need a coach player with Tom Clements in retirement.
