This year Marie Skic was born in the Fairy Marathon, the world was a completely different place. Charles Lindbergh was flying through the Atlantic for the first time, Penicillin was invented, and the film “Steamboat Willie” presented the nation of the mouse called Mickey.
Since then, a lot has changed, but SKIC is still here, and in the age of 97 he remains one of the most avid hunters and anglers in Wisconsin. DNR Tag Sales shows that he is one of the oldest, if not the oldest, hunters in this state, depending on the season.
