The beginning of each hunting season is always a cause for excitement, but when the dawn of the annual archery deer hunt arrives, I get really excited.
While the rut gets the most attention from whitetail nuts, I would utilize the first two weeks of the September season to cover all of November if I’m targeting a mature deer. I have a difficult time convincing people of this, but I have at least three solid reasons and they are all in my man cave; My three biggest bucks were all spent within the first two weeks of the season.
