The tradition of deer hunting runs deep in this Wisconsin family land

Kevin Kiesow remembers as a child taking a low trip with his father from his home in Neenah, Wisconsin, to the family hunting grounds in Waupaca County.
They returned to the 40-acre mix of forest and marsh a few miles east of Scandinavia on Nov. 18 for the opening day of the classic Wisconsin gun deer hunt. While Kiesow’s father, Keith, and another hunter stayed at their stands, Kevin took a lunch break near his truck.
