MADISON, Wis. – The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) will hold two identical public meetings to provide information and gather feedback on the future management of smallmouth bass in Green Bay and northern Lake Michigan.
The first meeting will begin at 6:00 p.m., Monday, November 4, 2024, at the DNR Green Bay Service Center. The second meeting will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 6, 2024 at the Big Creek Crossroads in Sturgeon Bay. Members of the public can also participate virtually via Microsoft Teams.
DNR staff will present the latest research and research data on smallmouth bass and gather feedback on a proposed rule change to extend the catch and release season. Participants are encouraged to share ideas, experiences and comments about smallmouth bass management in Green Bay and northern Lake Michigan.
