The Milwaukee Bucks started 2024 horribly. They are 3-8 in their first 11 games and at times seem to be losing on both sides of the ball. Considering Milwaukee had to stay competitive to keep Giannis Antetokoumpo in town, this is incredibly frustrating.
However, if Milwaukee actually considers trading Giannis, they will be in for a huge deal.

Due to their wealth of assets – including significant draft capital – the Thunder hold a unique position among the league’s contending teams.
remuneration. The Thunder have a lot of salary flexibility as they are contract-only Shai Gilgeous-Alexander ($35,859,950) i Isaiah Hartenstein ($30,000,000), earning over $16.5 million.
Giannis, meanwhile, will earn $48,787,676 in the 2024-25 season; to match that amount in a trade, the Thunder will have to either wait until Hartenstein is trade eligible (after December 15) or combine other players like Luguentz there, Isaiah Joe AND Aaron Wiggins to achieve the required compensatory wages.

Here’s a recap of Giannis’ recent games:
