Try frogs and dogs for summer largemouths

Summer is the best time to take advantage of topwater frogs and “walk the dog” in search of bass. As summer arrives, bass fishing becomes all about grass. We’re talking about the native aquatic vegetation that thrives in natural lakes and submerged lakes at Michigan’s estuaries.
Grass can also be found in reservoirs and rivers, but it is not as widespread as in lakes. Bright green aquatic vegetation indicates a booming environment with plenty of dissolved oxygen. It also creates many ambush spots and habitats for predators such as perch, especially largemouth bass.
