The Wisconsin Badgers volleyball team has a powerful incoming freshman class. Recently, two of their former recruits who signed with the team were named Gatorade Players of the Year in their respective states.

Five freshmen will join the Badgers next season.
- Addy Horner – opposing setter/hitter 6’3″
- Madison Quest – 6’3″ outside hitter
- Natalie Wardlow – 6’4″ middle blocker
- Aniya Warren 5’8″ libero
- Kristen Simon 5’8″ libero
Madison Quest was named the Gatorade Player of the Year
Madison Quest won her second Gatorade Player of the Year award for Wisconsin. Quest helped the Divine Savior Holy Angels volleyball team win its third straight state championship this year, earning 504 kills and a hitting percentage of .366. He ranks as the thirteenth best recruit in the country, according to one site.
Kristen Simon was named the Gatorade Player of the Year
In Kentucky, Kristen Simon became the 14th winner of the Gatorade Player of the Year award from Assumption High School. She was previously named the KVCA Defensive Player of the Year. Last year she recorded 464 digs, 59 aces and 28 defensive assists. She is the top recruit in the country, ranked 19th to 22nd, depending on the facility.
