As October approaches, the Virginia forests of the Midwest are getting hotter.
Eric Morken had close encounters with mature bucks during early morning bowhunts on Oct. 15 and 21. In the video below, Morken details his recent encounter in North Dakota, as well as how he adapted to the way the bucks moved through the terrain. He also details what you can take away from hunting this time of year that can pay off in a week when the rut begins.
