Viennese ball

The UW-Eau Claire event is the largest Viennese ball outside Vienna itself and is at the 50th year as a fundraiser at the Faculty of Music. When we say that this is one of the biggest, we mean: Vienna ball will take over all three floors of Davies Center and will host many places with various performances, food and drink. From customary walking, Cappella, a enormous jazz band, piano bars, faculty performances and many others. The ball is full of entertainment, food, ghosts and surprises. The Viennese ball is a formal event reminiscent of romance and elegance of the 19th-century Vienna in Austria.

The event, modeled on the historic New Year’s Eve Kaiser football, transforms all three levels of Davies Center. Guests can fight in the Great Ballroom, Swing Dance to Big Band Standards, a Polish woman in an informal festival hall, sing in a piano bar and hear performances at Bösendorfer Imperial Grand Piano. At the Davies Center, there are true Austrian specialties, soups, cheese, sandwiches and brats, cakes and cheesecakes, sparkling wine, Austrian beers and American Bar Services in the American style all evening
