GREEN BAY – In less than two weeks, there will be a solar eclipse, the last in the U.S. before 2044.

Wisconsinites will be able to see a partial solar eclipse on April 8, but cities within the total eclipse range – when the moon passes between the Earth and the sun and completely blocks the sun – may be worth the trip. Sheridan, Indiana

Carbondale, Illinois

The total eclipse lasts from 1:59 p.m. to 2:03 p.m. CDT and lasts approximately four minutes in total.

Carbondale is located in southern Illinois, about an eight-hour drive from Green Bay.

Cleveland, Ohio

The total eclipse begins at 3:13 PM EDT and ends at 3:17 PM EDT, lasting approximately five minutes in total.

Cleveland is about a nine-hour drive from Green Bay.

Erie, Pennsylvania

The total eclipse begins at 3:16 p.m. EDT and lasts until 3:20 p.m. EDT, lasting approximately four minutes in total.

Erie is a ten-hour drive from Green Bay.

When is the eclipse in Green Bay?
