Green Bay (NBC 26) – No. 3 West de Pere tried to continue his historical run in the semi -finals of the state of Wiaa Division 2 on Friday, occupying 2 No. 2 Wauwatosa East at the Resch Center.
In their first performance in 47 years Phantoms fought early, but they could not keep up Red Raiders who scored 63.2% from the pitch in the second half and detached to the victory of 71-58 to advance to the Saturday championship game.
Wauwatosa East began strongly, building a 12-point advantage in the first quarter. But West de Pere answered. Ella Francois has transformed a three -point game to reduce the deficit to five, and the MII Racine system brought Phantoms within two people.
West de Pere took up three-point lead at the end of the first half, when Madisyn Berggren knocked down a three-point indicator. Berggren led Phantoma with 22 points. Phantoms led 35-33 in half.
In the second half, Faith Walder shot inside to extend Phantoms, but Wauwatosa East found his rhythm. Emma Close and Audrey Sellinger have been a fee for Red Raiders, each of which scored 19 points when they took control.
