Week 16 6 standouts Packers win over Saints

Green Bay Packers linebacker Josh Jacobs (8) takes a first down against the New Orleans Saints during a football game on Monday, December 23, 2024, at Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wisconsin.

Deservedly, Josh Jacobs has been a mainstay on the roster for most of the season. On Monday night, he finished the game with 17 touches for 107 yards and extended his touchdown streak to six games, moving him one away from the longest such streak in Packers history. Because the game was so inconsistent, Green Bay was able to add more touches to backups Emanuel Wilson and Chris Brooks. Brooks scored his first career touchdown to give the Packers a 21-0 lead in the second quarter, while Wilson averaged over 5.0 yards per carry while finding the end zone in the second half. The Saints’ run defense has been an issue for them all season long, and Green Bay took advantage of their struggles by scoring 32 carries for a total of 188 rushing yards and three touchdowns as a team.
