Pat Murphy has informed the baseball world that he is joyful that Willy Adames has signed with the San Francisco Giants. He reiterated that this game is about the players, but he gave Adames one piece of advice. Via text message, Murphy told Adames: “Willy, remember what makes you great. It’s who you are.”

The MLB Winter Meetings are a busy time, with many trades and contract signings typically taking place. While the front office deals with these trades, Pat Murphy was asked to provide a vague wish list of additions he would like to see from the Brewers. He responded that he wanted to add “hungry players” because his organization’s budget was constrained and adding players with that quality had proven successful in the past.

Pat Murphy was also asked about the possibility of losing closer Devin Williams this offseason. In response, Murphy stressed that he and his team must remain “undeterred.” It’s a word that perfectly encapsulates the resilience and determination that defined the 2024 Brewers, and it could very likely reappear in 2025.
