Wisconsin Badgers Alum and Eagles Linebacker Zach Baun was named to the NFL
AP Defensive Player of the Year finalist. Myles Garrett, Myles Garrett, Bengals Defensive End, Broncos cornerback Trey Hendrickson, Patrick Curtain and Steelers Linebacker TJ Watt.

Baun was selected by the New Orleans Saints in the 2020 NFL Draft. 12.5 bags, 76 equipment, 20 fighting for losses and one interception during his senior season at Wisconsin.

Howie signed Baun to a deal worth $3.5 million. With the Saints, he was more of a rusher. The Eagles developed him into an off-ball linebacker, and he also became first-team All-Pro.

Zack Baun is third in the NFL in tackles and second in the NFL in forced fumbles. He has it too 3.5 Sacks and one interception for the No. 1 total defense in football.

This is a very compelling year to have DPOY. No one is putting dominant numbers against a dominant defense, although there is certainly a case for some of the other guys who were nominated and are worthy of the award.
