The Wisconsin Badgers missed a bowl game this season after finishing with a 5-7 record. There are many questions this football program will have to answer this offseason.
One of the questions head coach Luke Fickell will have to answer this offseason is who will be their starting quarterback next season? This has been one of the weaknesses of the Wisconsin Badgers football program this season.
The Wisconsin Badgers’ brutal schedule for the 2025 college football season
With the college football playoffs announced on Sunday, the Wisconsin Badgers’ schedule for next season has three teams qualifying for the BIG10 conference playoffs. These are the Indiana Hoosiers, Ohio State Buckeyes and Oregon Ducks.
Wisconsin will not face the Penn State Nittany Lions next season. The Badgers will also have to contend Illinois fighting the Illini, the Alabama Crimson Tide and the Michigan Wolverines next season. Wisconsin will need to show massive improvement in the BIG10 conference or it could pose a problem for head coach Luke Fickell.
Other opponents
The other opponents the Wisconsin Badgers will face in the conference next season are the Washington Huskies, Minnesota Golden Gophers, Maryland Terrapins and Iowa Hawkeyes. It will be captivating to see who else Wisconsin faces outside the BIG10 conference.
The Badgers may not be favored in many games next season and that could be a problem for them. At the start of the 2024 season, it looked like Wisconsin would go to a bowl game again this season until it fell at the end of the year. They fired offensive coordinator Phil Longo, but the team had other problems. They just hired Jeff Grimes from the Kansas Jayhawks to be the novel offensive coordinator for Wisconsin.
