Camren Hunter, a transfer from Central Arkansas who is looking to do well in 2024-25 for the Badgers, is one of the few transfers on the roster looking to make an impact.
Wisconsin Badgers Camren Hunter Cleared for All Basketball Activities
According to the Wisconsin Badgers head coach Greg Gard, Hunter Camren is cleared for all basketball activities prior to the 2024-2025 season. He missed the entire 2023-2024 season with a foot injury. Hunter last played in the 2022-2023 season.
In 30 games played, he averaged 16.9 PPG, 5.0 RPG, 3.9 APG, 0.6 BPG, and 1.5 SPG. Camren Hunter shot 42.3% from the field, 31.1% from three-point range, and 78.6% from the free throw line. He could play a very significant role for the Badgers this season.
Coaches praise him
In addition to Greg Gard, assistant coach Joe Krabbenhoft spoke highly of Camren Hunter Dillon Graff of Athlon Sports. Krabbenhoft said:
“The first thing that stands out is his physical ability to play in this league and in the Big 10; there’s no doubt he’s ready for it.”
Hunter will be one of the starters for the Badgers this season. Steven Crowl, Nolan Winters and Max Klesmit will be the other starters for the Badgers. It is unknown who will be the starting quarterback for Wisconsin this season. Camren Hunter looks to fill the scoring void that remains for the Badgers.
