Wisconsin Badgers: Get jaw-dropping BIG10 odds for the 2024-2025 college basketball season

Last season, the Wisconsin Badgers had a rollercoaster ride. Wisconsin finished 22-14 overall and 11-9 in BIG10 Conference play. At one point, the Badgers were ranked sixth in the country.

Wisconsin had a gritty patch at one point before the BIG10 Tournament. They were the fifth seed in the BIG10 Tournament and made it to the championship game before losing to the Illinois Fighting Illini. The Wisconsin Badgers were the fifth seed in the NCAA Tournament last season before losing to the 12th-seeded James Madison Dukes in the round of 64.

Wisconsin on BETMGM there are no favorable odds to win the BIG10 regular-season title. The Wisconsin Badgers have the 12th-best odds to win the conference this season at +3500. The conference will look different this season.

There are four novel teams in the conference this season: the UCLA Bruins, Washington Huskies, Oregon Ducks and USC Trojans. Wisconsin’s odds are so low that it could miss the NCAA Tournament this season for the second time in three seasons under coach Greg Gard.

The UCLA Bruins (+400), Michigan State Spartans (+500), Purdue Boilermakers (+600), Indiana Hoosiers (+600) and Rutgers Scarlet Knights (+900) will have the best chances to win the BIG10 Conference during the 2024-2025 regular season. Wisconsin also lacks the talent they had on their roster last season.

Head coach Greg Gard will be under scrutiny by fans

One of the biggest concerns heading into the 2024-2025 season is head coach Greg Gard. Many Wisconsin Badgers fans wanted to fire him after the 2023-2024 season, but Wisconsin decided to keep him. Even if they don’t make it to the NCAA Tournament, odds are the Badgers won’t get rid of him unless things go really bad this season.

They lost a lot of players from last year’s roster to the transfer portal and brought in players who are questionable heading into the 2024-2025 season. Wisconsin may not be a top-five team in the conference this year because of how loaded it is. But why can’t they be somewhere around 6 or 7? They should be better than teams like the Ohio State Buckeyes, Illinois Fighting Illini and Michigan Wolverines this college basketball season.
