Wisconsin Badgers, Marquette Golden Eagles receive various updates regarding their AP Top 25 rankings; Greg Gard’s team makes a substantial leap after a 7-game winning streak

The Badgers picked up a narrow victory over the Ohio State Buckeyes and then picked up a dominating win against the visiting USC Trojans.

These two wins allowed them to climb the AP Top 25 College Basketball rankings from 24th to 18th.

The jump is the largest of any team, comparable to the Purdue Boilermakers, who were ranked no. 17 to no. 11.

The Badgers could crack the top 10 if their streak continues, especially if they win by double digits.

This shouldn’t be a far-fetched idea like Greg Gard expressed confidence in his team which he believes is still on an upward trend.

In this case, we are not dependent on one particular guy or two particular guys. And then they grew. This is thanks to the players and our staff. They have grown and become better. We are still on an upward trend and we must continue to do so.
