Following the conclusion of the 2024 season, junior Gulce Gectekin and redshirt freshman Saige Damrow entered the transfer portal. Gectekin played a significant role on the 2021 championship team and has split time as both a libero and defensive specialist throughout her Badgers career. Damrow initially started the 2024 season as a substitute, but temporarily took over libero duties at the end of the season when Lola Schumacher missed time due to injury.

They will be joined by five first-graders UW-Madison for the 2025 season and I want to make an impact. 6’3″ Addy Horner is a point guard/right hitter from Illinois, Aniya Warren is a top-rated libero from Illinois, 6’3″ Madison Quest is an outside hitter who is the highest-ranked player in Wisconsin and is ranked 17th overall at nationally, Natalie Wardlow is a 6’4″ middle blocker from Nebraska, and Kristen Simon is a recruiting libero/defensive specialist from Louisville.

With this freshman class, Badgers also landed outside hitter Grace Egan from Ohio State and right-field hitter Grace Lopez from Miami via the transfer portal. Overall, the Badgers appear to have a lot more good talent in their volleyball program for the 2025 season.
