Wisconsin basketball: Mount Horeb CG steps up play with three-level scoring

One recruit in the 2026 recruiting class who has received interest from the Wisconsin basketball staff is excited about the next level of his game.

Josh Manchester6-foot-2 combo defender with Mount Horebhas impressed the Wisconsin staff with his skills on the court. Manchester has already drawn interest from several major basketball programs, which could be a sign of what his future recruiting will look like. Wisconsin basketball target Josh Manchester is already getting a lot of attention

Manchester do not currently have any major offers but have been in contact Market, Minnesota, Virginiaand Wisconsin at the beginning of the trial. As a recruit from Manchester State, he took particular interest in the Marquette and Wisconsin basketball programs.

Manchester is a versatile defender who can score from almost anywhere on the pitch while also providing solid defense. Manchester’s offensive potential outweighs his defensive potential, but the recruit has worked challenging to develop his game.

At first, Manchester said, “It was great, I really built great bonds with the coaches and it was great to visit each campus and watch practices.”

For Manchester, the recruitment process was largely about finding the right staff to fit the bill. When asked what a recruit is looking for, Manchester replied: “I’m looking for coaches who want to build a relationship with me and care about their players and the culture of the program.” The defense attorney also added: “And also for them to be honest and honest with me.”

The defender focused on building relationships and finding the right program for himself. Manchester believes that the program culture that the coach and his staff create is the most vital factor in his final decision.

How could Manchester fit into the Wisconsin Badgers basketball lineup?

It wouldn’t be arduous for the Wisconsin basketball staff to find a role for Manchester because he plays a style of basketball that fits the team. Manchester is a three-level shooter and can’t be left alone anywhere, even beyond the arc. The guard is also unstable off the ball and finds ways to either grab and shoot opportunities or cut through the basket.

While his offensive talents would fit in nicely with the Wisconsin basketball team, his defense would also be a tremendous addition. Manchester is by no means a weaker player on defense and plays with a high motor when closing down or defending opponents. Manchester’s defense has been underrated, to say the least, and that’s largely due to the fact that his defensive skills don’t show up in blocks or steals.
