Volunteers working on a long-running trout and salmon breeding and stocking program with the Wisconsin DNR were recently surprised when local field workers called to say the DNR had suspended the program halfway through.
Although the reasons eventually reached the volunteers, the initial message was brief. The program is ready. No fish will be delivered.
