The Spearing season in 2025 is almost here in Wisconsin. Sperators are encouraged to make sure they are up to date with everyone statute Before taking to ice.
This year’s season will start on February 8, lasting until any of the hats of the collections or for 16 days, depending on what happens first. This year’s collections are:

Harvest reports can be found on DNR Sturgeon Spearing website Throughout the season. The season forecast will be published on the Spearing website when the season is approaching.
Additionally, Chironomid (RedWorm) 2024 report Now available for review. Redworms are the main source of food for Lake Sturgeon and can be a good indicator before the season.
